High Definition Facilities at the Mailbox

High Definition production has increased dramatically during 2007. Several High Definition workshops have been run to raise awareness of the technical challenges associated with HD workflows. 24 hours of HD programming has been post produced by Birmingham Post Production.

P2 workflows have been developed to meet the needs of productions such as Saira Kahn’s Pakistan.

Dubbing Theatre 1

• Full 5.1 Surround facility based on SSL Avant Digital Film Console.
• Two tracklay suites based on Pyramix DAW’s can support 5.1 audio prep and tracklaying.
• Audio delivery as stems on 8 track DA88/98, as BWavs or Dolby E encoded datastream.

Finishing Suite 2

• Full HD editing, grading, finishing and technical review suite based on Avid Symphony Nitris.
• This suite is fully equipped for 5.1 audio monitoring. 3.8 TB of local storage allows uncompressed 1:1 workflows.
