Mark Thomas, CEO
Mark Thomas has worked in broadcasting for over 20 years and joined BBC Resources as CEO at the beginning of August 2008.
He previously led the project to transfer 1,600 BBC staff from London to a new broadcast centre in Salford and was responsible for building strong partnerships between the private and public sectors and leading the commercial negotiations concerning the move.
Prior to that Mark was Director of BBC Consultancy to the Public Broadcasting System in Bosnia, leading a team that helped public service broadcasting take root in the country. This included devising a new relationship with the broadcasting regulator, a new funding mechanism and stronger cooperation between the competing public service broadcasters.
Mark has held a variety of other senior roles in television, including Controller, BBC TV Operations, which brought together BBC Television’s operations, and planning and scheduling functions. He also devised and led the implementation of the genre-based commissioning system and streamlined commissioning cycle.

Lesley McMahon-Hathway, Director
of BBC Post Production
Lesley joined BBC Resources in 1996 and has held several roles
within the company. She has led BBC Post Production since 2001,
and became a Director in 2003. Lesley previously held several Director
positions within the printing industry, prior to joining BBC Resources
she was Managing Director for a group of 6 specialist printing companies
across the country.
Lesley is also a certified Senior Executive and Business Development
Coach, and a Business Mentor for The Princes Trust.

Richard
Philipps , Director of BBC Studios
With over thirty years experience in television, Richard took over the running of BBC Studios in 2001. As Director of Studios, Richard has been responsible for transforming one of the BBC's original core in-house facilities into an autonomous, fully-commercial business unit within BBC Resources Ltd.
Prior to switching to the commercial side of the business, Richard gained extensive operational experience within the industry. From operating cameras on Test Matches in Australia to location-managing HD film shoots in Japan and Taiwan, he has worked in most operational, engineering and managerial production roles.

Sarah
Mackey, Director of Strategy
Sarah joined BBC Resources in April 2001 following two and a half years working as a management consultant managing the market channel strategy and development needs of blue chip clients in the UK, USA and South America. Previous experience also includes five years in sales and marketing with a large, global, book-publishing company.
Sarah's role in BBC Resources is to lead the strategy planning process, identify new market opportunities and to look for potential strategic partners and alliances which will enhance the size and standing of the business. She also leads the central marketing and communications team.
